You may have already read my 2025 Music Industry Career Guide, which outlines 31 unique jobs you can have in the music industry. While there can be some random niche jobs within the industry that don’t fall into the ones I described, I consider that list to include 90% of the jobs in the music industry. If you liked that guide, you’ll love this. In this guide, I’ll load you up with companies you should consider working at based on the careers and categories that I described in the Career Guide. One of my biggest tips for successful job applications is to apply directly to a company website instead of going through a third-party job board like LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, or even music-specific ones like Rostr and EntertainmentCareers.net. Through this guide, I hope to show you the variety of companies in the industry you may not have even heard of yet. Before we get into this list, I will describe the main types of companies that exist in the music industry, and we’ll break out the companies in each.

Company categories

  1. Record Labels

  2. Performing Rights Organizations (PROs)

  3. Music Venues

  4. Business Management Firms

  5. Music Tech

  6. Legal Firms

Within each of these categories, I’ll share 114 unique career pages for companies so that you can routinely check openings for whatever it is you’re looking for. Keep in mind also, there are both internship and entry-level opportunities in the career pages below.
